Duties and responsibilities:
The Depot Supervisor is responsible for the overall safe and efficient operation of a SARCAN depot with annual returns of over 9 million containers. All operations are in accordance with SARCAN operational policies and procedures, and with the SARCAN customer service measures of accuracy, courtesy, and cleanliness.  

Duties include:
-    Supervising all depot staff, including coaching, scheduling, communications, safety, maintenance and training of staff.
-    Ensuring proper policies and procedures are followed for depot operations including security, production, cleanliness, supplies, trailer switches, maintenance and repairs. Maintain adequate supplies and inventory levels.
-    Ensuring and/or providing good customer relations including proper handling of customer complaints and inquiries.
-    Ensuring all depot forms, reports, and accounting are completed accurately and within established timelines.
-    Ensuring cash security through the use of proper cash control and handling procedures.
-    Performing all tasks within the depot, from counting containers for deposit refund and operating the Point of Sale system or till to preparing containers for shipping and loading product onto trailers for transport.

Qualifications:
Education:
-    Grade 12 diploma
Experience:
-    Minimum five years related experience, most recently in a supervisory role
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Skills:
-    Working knowledge of OH&S regulations in an industrial setting
-    Basic knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office
-    Valid class 5 drivers licence
Final Candidates are required to provide satisfactory criminal record checks including a vulnerable sector search.
