THE POSITION
The Senior Manager for Education is a visionary role, directly responsible for the health and performance of the STC Education Corp., the success of its operations, and strategic planning. The role will operationalize the direction provided through the STC Education Corp Board of Directors (Board) and its policy governance structure. Through strategic planning, the Senior Manager will ensure maximum performance across the organization and establish key long-term relationships with partners that enhance the organization.
RESPONSIBILITES
The Director of Education shall perform such duties and responsibilities as may be assigned, including but not restricted to the following:
- Develop and implement short and long-term operational and strategic plans in accordance with the organizational goals and objectives
- Provide leadership that fosters high commitment to the mission and strategic direction of STC Education Corp.
- Provide leadership and ensure accountability for budgets (development and adherence), forecasts and long-term financial planning
- Ensure the Board is informed of organizational activities, potential threats, opportunities and recommendations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Master of Education Degree from a recognized institution;
- Saskatchewan Professional A Teaching Certificate;
- Minimum of ten (10) years successful teaching experience including five (5) years progressive experience at the Principal or Superintendent level;
- Be eligible for membership with League of Educational Administrators, Directors and Superintendents (L.E.A.D.S);
- Must possess a valid Saskatchewan drivers license, a reliable vehicle and meet STCs insurance requirements;
- Must provide a current, original, Canadian Criminal Record Check (CPIC) with vulnerable sector search, as a condition of employment; and
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, evenings and weekends, and to perform other related duties as required or assigned.
