RESPONSIBILITES INCLUDE:
Data Entry to Broker Management Accounting Software and Simply Accounting
Create and maintain complex Excel charts and spreadsheets
Cash management including writing receipts and bank deposits, posting revenue, expenses, bills paid to accounting software program(s)
Creating invoices using Accounting Software Program(s) and monitor accounts receivable
Processing weekly, monthly and annual financial and other reports including bank, credit card and insurance company statements
Prepare and maintain financial records including in-house financial statements
Create cash flow projects and other statistical, financial and accounting related reports
May include Liaison with Auditors, Audit Preparation, Calculate and Prepare Payroll, Record Minutes to Meetings, Completing and Submitting Tax Returns
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor of Business Administration with a Major in Accounting
OR
A minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience working for a Canadian company with proven skills and a diploma in Bookkeeping &/or Accounting
SPECIFIC SKILLS:
Proficient with Simply Accounting as a prerequisite and working knowledge of other bookkeeping and accounting software
Advanced working knowledge of Excel, ability to produce and apply complex Excel formulas, charts and spreadsheets
Work independently and problem solve through complex financial and accounting related assignments and functions
Possess sound knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping standards as well as Canadian personal and corporate tax laws
