Description

The Aboriginal Friendship Centres of Saskatchewan (AFCS) is looking to fill an exciting role to help keep our team organized and proficient.  If you are highly organized with experience or training with administrative duties, we would love to hear from you.  Being an Urban Indigenous organization, we would love to hear where you are from and why you would like to work with us in your cover letter.


Qualifications:
High school diploma is a minimum requirement
Office education program or equivalent experience
Experience using software packages, such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, etc., to produce correspondence, maintain presentations, records, spreadsheets, and databases and to maintain and update websites
Experience or training in Sage 50 (Simply Accounting)
Good typing skills
Basic bookkeeping and office knowledge
Experience with website administration would be an asset
Good writing and communication skills
Analytical skills

Duties & Responsibilities:
*Attend meetings, take minutes and keep notes
Schedule and coordinate logistics of meetings and travel plans
*Assist AFCS Team in meetings, preparing documents and presentations such as preparation of agendas
*Plan for committee, board, and other meetings
Assist with some financial documents such as cheque requisitions, budget updates and general data entry
*Attend phone calls, respond to office emails, take messages and record all communication in logbook
*Enter data into membership database through multiple software programs
*Conduct research, compile data, and prepare papers for consideration and presentation by executives, committees, and board of directors
*Open, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence including email.
*Perform general office duties such as ordering supplies, maintaining records management systems, and performing basic bookkeeping work
*Other duties as assigned by the AFCS
*Criminal Record Check (CPIC),
