Description

Based in Emerald Park, SeedMaster is currently seeking an innovative, forward-thinking and results-oriented individual to join our procurement team as the Supply Chain Analyst, reporting to the Supply Chain Manager.

In this role you will be responsible for the procurement of various goods and services required for the manufacturing of SeedMaster products within established standards following corporate purchasing policies. The SCA works on getting the right product at the right time at the right place for the right price.

Key accountabilities include:
* Review planned purchase orders (PO)and place POs where required
* Generate open/backorder reports and follow-up with vendors regarding ETA (expected time of arrival)
* Receive purchase orders into the ERP system if needed
* Setup cycle counts and coordinate removal of obsolete inventory
* Research and meet potential source of supply and send RFQs (request for quotation).
* Document and update the ERP system with revised pricing and/or lead time
* Request and coordinate sending RMAs (Return Merchandise Authorization) to vendors
* Authorizes purchases within predetermined dollar amounts
* Liaise with internal teams and vendors to meet production and sales requirements.
* Prepare inventory reports and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
* Minimum 2 years of previous purchasing or inventory management experience
* Knowledge and understanding of purchasing methods and principles.
* 1-year diploma in business administration or Commerce. Supply Management Trainee from Supply Chain Canada (formerly Supply Management Association of Canada) or equivalent will be preferred
* Considerable level of expertise in oral and written communication
* Experience in MS office with advanced excel required. ERP software experience will be considered as an asset.
* Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and as a team
