Description

High School Teacher  2 positions
Rhoda Hardlotte Memorial Keethanow High School, Stanley Mission, SK
Stanley Mission is a thriving Woodland Cree community of almost 2000 people on the shores of the Churchill River. The community has two grocery stores, gas bars, post office, restaurant, churches and a medical clinic. Views of the river and historic Holy Trinity Anglican Church add to the beauty and history of the community. The scenic environment surrounding Stanley Mission offers a variety of outdoor recreational activities.  The community has an indoor hockey arena, baseball diamond and a Youth Community Centre with pool tables and a bowling alley. Stanley Mission is just north of La Ronge and accessible by year  round provincial road.
Rhoda Hardlotte Memorial Keethanow High School provides educational programming for students in grades 7-12 in a modern, relatively new, well-equipped facility with an enrolment of approximately 300 students, 17 teachers and 12 paraprofessionals. Programming includes land-based learning and a strong technology infrastructure.  These are full-time positions starting November 5, 2020, the second in a five-block timetable.  One position is due to an existing teacher assuming new responsibilities to help teachers develop on-line learning capacity.  The other position is the result of moving to a block schedule in a Covid context. Major staffing needs are in elective areas, however we welcome applicants able to supplement instruction in core areas or able to tap into student interests and local resources.
The successful candidate must be eligible for Saskatchewan teaching certification. Salaries follow the provincial salary grid. A benefits package includes subsidized housing and a northern living allowance. Moving assistance may be available.
For more information on the school and position please contact Melanie Cook, Principal at (306) 491 7141
POSITION IS OPEN UNTIL FILLED
