Description

SeedMaster is currently seeking an innovative, forward-thinking and results-oriented individual to join our assembly team as the Assembly Shop Supervisor.

You will lead a team of highly driven assembly staff, and act as the liaison between assembly and production planning. You will play an important role in hiring, motivating, and training employees, while being responsible for monitoring work activity, following up on missing parts, ordering supplies and/or equipment. You must work with Engineering to resolve any issues arising during assembly.

Accountabilities:
* Oversee the electrical, pneumatic/hydraulic, and mechanical assembly departments including organizing all work and corresponding personnel
* Monitor the assembly of products in accordance with the relevant engineering drawings, specifications, and assembly procedures
* Adhere to the quality management system, including eliminating areas of non-conformance and implementing process improvements
* Communicate with Production Manager ensuring all needs are addressed in a timely fashion
* Monitor production and shipping schedules and communicate pending deadlines to team
* Thoroughly inspect the entire assembly process ensuring quality, finished equipment is delivered to our customer
* Collect information such as workorder run times as requested by engineering, planning, and/or management

Qualifications:
* Minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically relating to assembly, required
* Ability to read blueprints, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams and electrical schematics required
* Experience with Microsoft Office and ERP systems is required
* Ability to successfully collaborate with engineers, shop personnel, and management required
* Proven attention to detail with an emphasis on the manufacture of custom equipment is preferred
* Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently
