Description

The Nipawin Medi-Clinic operates as a primary healthcare group practice where physicians provide services for approximately 4,500 people within the community plus surrounding area.

Start date: March 21st, 2021.

Job Duties: Examine patients and take their histories, order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures, Consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients' physical and mental health, Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, Perform and assist in routine surgery, Deliver babies and provide pre-natal and post-natal care, Advise patients on health care, Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases to government authorities, Communicate health promotion, disease, illness and accident prevention to patients, Perform patient advocacy role, Provide
counselling and support to patients and their families on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues, Provide emergency care, Participate on
institutional committees.

Work Setting: Nipawin Medi-Clinic: 790 6th Street E. Nipawin, SK S0E 1E0/ Nipawin Hospital: 800 6th St. East Nipawin, SK S0E 1E0

Job Requirements
Languages: English
Education: Degree in Medicine, Completed Family Medicine Residency
Training Program
Experience: No experience required, but considered an asset
Security & Safety: Current Canadian Medical Protective Association
coverage, A valid Saskatchewan driver's license, Criminal Record Check
Credentials: Must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and
Surgeons of Saskatchewan
Salary Details: As per the Saskatchewan Primary Health Care contract pay
grid (Level 1: $301,517 annually (subject to change)).
Job Benefits: Additional incentives to be determined. Turnkey practice -
clinics in each location completed with clinic staff, patient files, equipment
and supplies.
