Our dynamic organization is expanding and looking for two clinical counsellors to join our professional team.
Duties and Responsibilities
Working collaboratively and cooperatively within a passionate and professional atmosphere, the clinical counsellor will be responsible for providing:
Short and long-term counselling to clients who have experienced sexual assault and childhood sexual abuse
Therapy groups
Support and advocacy through accompaniment to police, medical, court or other appointments
Occasional support for crisis line (approx. 6-8 times/year)
Expertise through public education (presentations, conferences, research and other projects)
Qualifications
Minimum Master's degree in Social Work or Counselling Psychology
Preference given to those with experience with children and youth.
Required
Ability to contribute to and support a positive team environment
Able to provide client-centered, trauma-informed care
Understanding of gender-based violence and impacts
Ability to work positively and collaboratively with a broad range of disciplines
Acceptable criminal record/vulnerable sector check
Registered with a professional licensing body and insurable
Hours and Benefits
30 hours/week
Flexible schedule Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
