Position and Responsibilities
You will be responsible for day to day analysis of laboratory samples by wet chemistry and instrumentation methods. You are familiar with the operation of inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometer (ICP-MS) and alpha counting spectrometer. You will participate in quality assurance and quality control activities within the lab operation and assist with corrective and preventative action planning and implementation.
This is a temporary position for approximately 12 months.
Education and Qualifications
Requirements of the position:
Chemical technology diploma
Two to three years relevant work experience
Working knowledge of chemical laboratory principles and procedures
You are a team player with the ability to work independently with safety as a core value
Excellent communication and analytical skills
Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft
Assets:
Experience with an x-ray fluorescence spectrometer
Experience with Microsoft Office suite and SAP
