The Palliser Plains Co-op Association Ltd. invites applications for the permanent full-time position of Ag Clerk to join our Agro Team out of our Shamrock location.
Reporting to the Crop Protection Manager, the Ag Clerk will be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep and operation of the ag facilities at our Shamrock location. This includes loading, unloading and storing ag products, inventory management, ag product deliveries, operating and maintaining a variety of equipment, providing administrative assistance to the Crop Protection Manager, providing superior customer service, and other duties as assigned. The successful candidate will also perform tire consultations, sales, repairs, and installations on all types of vehicles and agricultural equipment.
Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
Background or experience in the Agriculture industry preferred
Ability to operate various tools, equipment, and machinery in a responsible and safe manner
Ability to use a computer for basic programs and operating a POS terminal
Experience providing excellent customer service
Experience working with/on a multigenerational team
Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Regular and repetitive heavy lifting and moving is required (50lbs+)
Ability to work long hours in the busy season and available when needed
Valid class 5 drivers license is required, G endorsement would be an asset
