About Hillcrest Early Learning Centre

Hillcrest Early Centre (HELC) is a licensed childcare facility located in Estevan, Saskatchewan. Sharing the grounds of Hillcrest School, HELC provides daily childcare for 55 children in the community, with a focus on early childhood education through play and exploration.


About the Position

The Administrative Director is responsible for all day-to-day operations of a safe and fun childcare centre. This includes leading and directing staff in providing excellent daily care for the children, meeting the Centres licensing requirements, and overseeing general administrative requirements.

The Administrative Director reports to HELCs Board of Directors.


Primary Responsibilities
    Oversee the provision of a quality childcare service that fulfills the philosophy of the Centre
    Ensure that the Centre operates in compliance with The Child Care Act and The Child Care Regulations.
    Build and maintain effective relationships at HELC with parents and caregivers, community stakeholders, etc.
    Recruit, develop, and retain qualified staff for the centre, encouraging continued professional development and growth.
    Administer the policies and procedures applicable to staff and families.
    Various other duties as required


Required Qualifications:
    Early Childhood Educator Level III Diploma.
    3-5 years experience in the childcare profession, with at least one year in a management or leadership role
    Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
    Excellent organizational skills and initiative
    Creative problem-solving skills
    Clean Criminal Record
