Description

The IT Manager has extensive knowledge of network maintenance, experience managing staff, & advanced industry knowledge. The IT Manager will have an immediate impact on the day-to-day efficiency of our IT operations at our Yorkton and Saskatoon locations, & an ongoing impact on our overall growth.

Objectives of the Role
- Collaborate with our managed service provider & maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, active directory, accounting & tax programs, VOIP system, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, & hardware.
- Handle business-critical IT tasks & systems administration
- Research & evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, & software

Daily & Monthly Responsibilities
- Analyze firm needs, identify vulnerabilities, improve efficiency & accuracy to inform business decisions
- Ensure network components meet needs & work together seamlessly, using the full range of capabilities, & stay informed about new features & competitive solutions
- Analyze current processes, technologies, & vendors to identify areas of improvement & cost savings
- Approve IT related purchases/invoices
- Implement, maintain & update accounting & tax programs
- Train employees on both software & hardware, troubleshoot, & provide technical support when needed
- Update & maintain website & intranet
- Maintain IT equipment & software inventory/licenses; develop & maintain equipment replacement schedules.
- Administration of VOIP system
- Supervision of other IT staff
- Develop & execute disaster procedures, cyber security policy & ensure data backups are maintained.
- Participate as the BT SK rep on the BT Canada IT Committee

Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in IT management
- Knowledge of programming languages & operating systems, current equipment & technologies, & system performance monitoring
- Expertise with implementing, configuring, & testing solutions
