The Public Works Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient operation of vehicles and equipment to carry out work related to the maintenance and operation of the Public Works Department.
Responsibilities:
Operates vehicles and maintenance equipment to maintain City of Weyburn utilities.
Performs general equipment maintenance.
Assists with any labour related to the repair and maintenance of water or sewer mains and services.
Assists with repair and maintenance of sewage lift stations.
Helps clean and repair City owned property.
Assists with the rebuild of streets and sidewalks as required.
Performs traffic control duties as assigned
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Grade 12 or equivalent GED.
Certificate in Power Mobile Equipment preferred.
Wastewater Certification with the Saskatchewan Water and Wastewater Certification Board considered an asset.
Possession and maintenance of a valid Saskatchewan Class 5 license required.
