*Training is on an ongoing basis* Experience: minimum of 1-2 full seasons of Apiary experience required. The job includes the following:
Wrapping/unwrapping beehives; spring & fall maintenance; feeding hives; creating nucs; supering hives;pulling honey supers (80+ lbs) and then carrying the supers to the truck deck and stacking; extracting honey; moving beehives (some evenings and weekends if need be) maintain bee yards; and perform any other duties relating to apiary work.
Requirements: no formal education required but with at least a Grade 12 education an asset; have a valid driver's license and have vehicle to get back and forth to work; experience driving standard trucks an asset; to be in good physical condition and to be able to work in a team environment.
Employment Details: Seasonal & full time employment April 6- Oct. 31, 2021. Wage range: $12.63 - $15.20 per hour depending upon experience; Minimum 40 hours of work per week.
Training is provided on a ongoing basis, most tasks are performed outdoors in all kinds of weather; work is repetitive and physically demanding. Location of work- RM's of Big River,Shellbrook and Canwood.
