Description

We are currently recruiting for an Essential Skills for the Workplace Levels 1 & 2 Instructor who will work as part of a team dedicated to the success of students registered in the in program. Areas of instruction may include Academic Preparation, Career and Work Exploration, Communications, Computer Essential Skills, Life Management, Life Sciences, Math, Reading, and Writing Knowledge and training in Adult Education principles, practices and proven ability to facilitate adult learners; knowledge of Adult Basic Education Levels and associated learning outcomes; Instructional experiences in a cross cultural adult education setting; strong planning, organizational and classroom management skills are essential. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to classroom management, submitting attendance on a regular basis; setting up work placements and monitoring student progress in both work placements and classroom settings; submitting reports on a regular basis; and performing other related duties as assigned.
Experience in the field of inclusive education is mandatory. Familiarity with blended learning principles and online learning environment is desirable.
Instructional delivery methods may include the use of technology and online platforms. The successful candidate must be able to, or willing to learn how to effectively deliver curriculum via a blended or online delivery model.
The minimum qualifications for this position are: a Bachelor of Education Degree and a Professional A Teachers Certificate. The successful candidate must be able to register with the Saskatchewan Professional Teachers Regulatory Board. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
