Description

Reporting to the Kyle & District Recreation Board, you will be part of a small management team and tasked with specific responsibility to ensure quality recreational, sport, heritage and cultural facilities, programs, and services are available for the residents of the Town of Kyle and the Rural Municipality of Lacadena 228.
duties include:
Plan, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive program of sports, recreational, heritage and cultural activities that are available for all community members
Maintain Facilities
Coordinate town owned facility rentals
Asset Management/Infrastructure Planning - short and long term
Build relationships with the various community, service, and non-profit groups within the Town, the RM, and the surrounding area
Responsible for building broad and effective communication networks and economic development opportunities for the Town of Kyle and surrounding area including social media, and various advertising for Funding/Grant applications
Manages the Administrative and Financial functions of the office of Kyle & District Recreation Board
Budgeting and monitoring approved expenditures within the budget
Organize events as directed by the Board.   May have to attend meetings as a representative for the Board on any other community organizations as mutually agreed upon.  
Able to work independently
Strong management, motivational, and interpersonal communication skills coupled with administrative and organizational skills are necessary
Arena Operators Level 1 and 2 courses is an asset
Grant structure and proposal writing experience
Computer experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and QuickBooks
Must be flexible, available to work evening and weekend hours as necessary to participate or coordinate events
Must be Bondable
Must hold a valid drivers license
