Job Description: The Infection Control Practitioner (ICP) will be accountable for providing infection prevention and control related services (i.e. Surveillance, Education, Quality Improvement, Consultation, Research)within Saskatchewan Health Authority.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in a health-related field
Registered with the appropriate professional licensing organization
Certification in Infection Control (CIC or equivalent) required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to work independently
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Computer skills including Microsoft Office, word processing, charting, powerpoint
Possesses knowledge and has job related experience in health care
Demonstrates the ability to effectively communicate the important components of infection control with all levels of staff and patients
Possesses knowledge of, and is able to utilize, principles of program development and teaching
Successful applicant must submit a satisfactory criminal record check, including vulnerable sector search, prior to an offer of employment being made.

Expected Up To Date: December 31, 2021
FTE: 1.00
Hours of Work: 112.00 hours per 3 week rotation
