Description

The Family Service Worker will act as a role model by modeling behaviour, respect for and commitment to the values of the Carry the Kettle Nakoda Nation. The Family Service Worker will report to the Prevention Services Manager and/or the Director of Operations. The Family Service Worker will be responsible for all phases of client casework, including home visits, case review and case conferences; maintain a high level of communication with all others involved; lead or co-ordinate a support group if warranted; maintain contact notes, demographic data and monthly statistics and such computerized records as required. Be responsible to the Prevention Manager for regular supervision and case reviews; be aware of trends and concerns, which may affect service delivery, programs or other community activities; Act as a liaison under the supervision of the manager and advocate between The Carry The Kettle First Nation and other agencies or government; preparing and giving public presentations to the community, government and other agencies as required. Attendance at staff and team meetings and other related meetings as required, ie  Integrated Services team meetings; attendance at training (in-house and external) as required; to work co-operatively with staff; to be sensitive to client needs; other duties as assigned by the Prevention Program Manager.
