The WES instructor will provide 25 days of both face-to-face and online group instruction for approximately 10 adult learners on topics related to work essential and personal management skills related to securing and maintaining employment. The instructor will also work with community partners to supervise work placements. The program will run from January 11 to March 5, 2021. This position will report to the Chair of ABE & Essential Skills and will work closely with the ABE Coordinator and the James Smith Employment Development worker, in the delivery of a seven-week program. The goal of the program is to support youth seeking employment during and post pandemic. The contract includes 4 days of paid prep time and orientation prior to the January 11th program start day. It is expected that the instructor will be flexible in adjusting the method of course delivery as determined by student needs, and the safety protocols determining accessibility to campus community.
