Facility: CARE SERVICES - SASKATOON
Job Description: The Radiation Therapist I is responsible for preparing, planning and delivering accurate and precise ionizing radiation treatments to cancer patients according to the prescription of a Radiation Oncologist.  The Radiation Therapist I reports to the Director or Site Manager of Radiation Therapy with daily work functions supervised by a Radiation Therapist II.
Required Qualifications

Certification for Basic Life Saver (BLS)-C
Licensed with Saskatchewan Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (SAMRT)
Membership with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Radiation Therapy
Experience
No previous experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Proficiency with a variety of computer systems and software applications
Ability to interpret detailed information and communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Ability to perform a range of Radiation Therapy methods and processes including treatment planning, simulation and treatment.
Maintain confidentiality.
Accuracy of fine motor movements required for operating treatment unit controls, tattooing patients, and data entry.
Human relations skills are required to develop formal relationships of a therapeutic nature to assist others in achieving their short or long term goals
Moderate Judgment and problem solving skills are required to select the most appropriate action from a variety of alternatives.

Geographic Location: Saskatoon
Expected Start Date: November 17, 2020 up to September 10,2021

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:30
