ULS is currently accepting applications forpart-time on-call Crew Handsto join our Snow Removal & Maintenance division in Saskatoon. Under the direction of the Crew Lead this position will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks including the removal of snow on roads, sidewalks and shared public areas for industrial, municipal Individuals hired for part-time/on-call work through our winter months will receive all proper safety and related training and will be on-call during any snow event. We aim to provide as much notice as possible when being called in. We operate 24/7 throughout the winter, so days and hours of work will vary.
Responsibilities
Demonstrating safety leadership and safe work practices at all times
Working in accordance with ULS policies and procedures
Providing exceptional customer service and client experiences
Manual snow removal
Additional tasks as required
Basic/Required Qualifications
Valid Drivers License with proof of drivers abstract
Ability to provide Criminal record check
Exceptional customer service skills
Physically fit
Must have reliable transportation to and from our building and/or work sites
Legally authorized to work in Canada
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to take direction, learn and work independently as well as part of a team
Previous snow removal and/or maintenance experience is an asset
Operation of small engine equipment
Experience working in a physical labour position
Experience working outdoors
Motivated, energetic team player
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
Working in outdoor environments with the ability to withstand cold temperatures
Significant standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling
Repetitive motions
Ability to regularly lift, carry, push and/or pull weights of up to 100 lbs
On-call work: hours of work will vary throughout the winter months
