Job Description: THIS POSITION REPORTS TO THE MANAGER OF MENTAL HEALTH AND ADDICTION SERVICES, REHABILITATION SERVICES.  THE COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH NURSE SUPERVISOR/EDUCATOR WILL WORK CLOSELY WITH THE MANAGER TO SUPERVISE AND EVALUATE NURSING STAFF, PROVIDE LEADERSHIP AND FUNCTION AS A ROLE MODEL AND MENTOR TO ASSIST STAFF WITH PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND ACHIEVEMENT OF MENTAL HEALTH AND ADDICTION SERVICES PROGRAM GOALS.  THE PRIMARY FUNCTIONS OF THIS POSITION ARE RESEARCHING BEST PRACTISES, EDUCATING COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH NURSES ON BEST PRACTISES, PROVIDING CLINICAL SUPERVISION TO COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH NURSES AND TO SUCCESSFULLY MANAGE, SUPPORT AND SUSTAIN CHANGE.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Nursing
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA) or Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association of Saskatchewan (RPNAS)
Experience
5 YEARS OF DIRECT CLINICAL EXPERIENCE IN PROVIDING COMMUNITY BASED CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES TO CLIENTS WITH LONG TERM MENTAL ILLNESS REQUIRED.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Ability to assist and develop policies and procedures according to best practices
Ability to communicate with and maintain an effective working relationship with clients from diverse social, economic and cultural backgrounds
Ability to develop and deliver formal education programs
Ability to travel both within the region and provincially
Knowledge of the health region and community resources
Supervisory skills
