Ensure accurate processing of monthly remittances to CRA, Great West Life and pension
Prepare journal entries
Manage accounts payable
Prepare payroll under direction of the Finance/HR Director
Assist with T4s
Prepare and enter receivable invoices in accounts receivable
Sort & prepare invoices to be paid on-line
Prepare Purchase Orders
Match invoices with purchase orders
Responsible for the completion of all Records of Employment (ROE)
Assist with year-end audit
Human Resource Duties and Responsibilities
Provide assistance with clerical and technical support for HR activities
Maintain accurate, up to date and complete personnel records
Respond to telephone, e-mail, and in-person inquiries from employees.
Type forms, letters, reports, and memos as necessary.
Fax, photocopy and scan documents as required.
Receive and distribute all forms of paper correspondence.
Accurate and appropriate filing of correspondence.
Locate filed materials upon request, ensuring that materials are given only to authorized users.
Use standardized filing methods and procedures, e.g. alphabetical, numerical
Add new material to files and records
Create new files and records as necessary
Process time sheets, leave forms, overtime forms bi-weekly
Responsible to complete Averaging of Hours Permits
Provide a summary of vacation leave credits, sick leave credits, other leave credits to personnel monthly.
Ensuring that all required documentation is in place before an employee starts working. IE: CPIC, drug screen, drivers abstract, etc.
Set up interviews and complete job reference checks.
