Reporting to the Director of Municipal Operations, the incumbent will be responsible for performing a variety of confidential administrative duties, and serves as a clerical support person for the Recreation Facility Operations Manager, Public Works and Utilities Manager and Airport Manager. Duties include disseminating mail, coding invoices, assisting with annual capital and operating budgets, ordering office supplies, maintaining filing systems, preparing tenders, and preparing Departmental meeting minutes. Some evening and weekend work may be required.
The successful candidate must have a minimum of two years experience in a general office environment with knowledge of municipal government operations. A high school diploma, related certificate or two year diploma program or combination thereof in Office Administration and/or Records Management is required. The incumbent shall possess proficient computer skills including use of a variety of software, and excellent communication and public relations skills.
