Description

The primary purpose of the position is to review, decision and recommend release of funds by assessing the associated risk within the company's policies and procedures.

The Sr. Funding Administrator is responsible to review and recommend funding transactions by using logical and analytical thinking, problem solving skills and common sense to evaluate the legal sufficiency of the executed documentation.  This role formulates alternatives to get the deal funded, as well as prepare deficiency lists when appropriate, listing the required conditions, and ensures the deal is in compliance with the credit approval and meets company policies and procedures throughout the entire process.  The Sr. Funding Administrator is also accountable for resolving issues and conflicts as they arise, effectively and with a sense of urgency (including documentation negotiations, purchase discrepancies, pricing discrepancies, out-of-policy occurrences).  

The Sr. Funding Administrator ensures the integrity of the portfolio by preparing additional documentation to complete the deal, documentation requests, checklists and audit forms, and by ensuring the funders clear unencumbered position is perfected.  You will also verify and substantiate CRA and provincial tax for each lease, and review electronic and paper files for post closing accuracy and completeness.

As part of a team, this role delivers service excellence by dealing with enquiries and requests from brokers, credit unions and clients, and developing and maintaining a professional working relationship with lease brokers, credit unions and clients, as well as internal staff.
