Radville Community Grown Childcare Inc. is looking to fill the role of fulltime or Part Time Early Childhood Educator.
The major roles and responsibilities of the Educator will be to provide our centres children with meaningful, age appropriate activities as well as ensuring that all children are provided with the love and nurturing that they need to grow and develop.

 

Skills and Abilities

Essential Skills
 - Oral communication
 - Decision making
 - Critical thinking
 - Continuous learning
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)
 - Early Childhood Education Assistant Certificate
 - Early Childhood Education Diploma or Degree
Early Childhood Education Skills
 - Provide opportunity for creative expression through the mediums of art, dramatic play and music
 - Prepare progress reports and discuss with parents and other staff members
 - Plan and develop child care and nursery school programs
 - Assess the developmental level of children
 - Knowledge of licensing regulations
Additional Skills
 - Maintain day care supplies and equipment
 - Assist in housekeeping duties
Early Childhood Educator Assistant Skills
 - Prepare craft materials and assist children to use them
 - Prepare and serve snacks
 - Guide children in development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
 - Conduct and monitor activity programs designed for young children
 - Arrange transition periods such as lunch and rest for children
Ability to Supervise
 - 3-4 people
Security and Safety
 - Basic security clearance
 - Criminal record check (abstract)
