We are currently looking to fill a permanent part-time Personal Support Worker position at our SLP-A 6th Avenue location.
The role of the Personal Support Worker is to provide care, support, and role modelling to vulnerable persons with complex needs, behavioural issues, developmental disabilities, mental health disorders, and/or other related issues. The Personal Support Worker is actively engaged and fully participates in all aspects of the participants residential experience, providing the participants with a safe, nurturing, predictable, and structured living environment. The Personal Support Worker is also involved in the implementation of the participants' treatment plan and in meeting their emotional and physical needs.
Education and Experience:
Minimum of 1-3 years of experience working with children, youth, and/or adults with behavioural, cognitive, mental health, and/or developmental challenges.
A certificate, diploma, or degree in child and youth care (CYC) or in a related field of study.
Therapeutic Camp training, Wilderness training, or Bronze Swimming Medallion training an asset.
Hourly wages for this position is $22.71 - $29.35, dependent on experience and education.
