Job Description: THE CLINICAL SUPERVISOR REPORTS TO CALDER PROGRAM MANAGERS.  THIS POSITION IS A SENIOR POSITION RESPONSIBLE FOR SUPERVISION OF DAY STAFF, INCLUDING ADDICTIONS COUNSELLORS. THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF PROGRAMS, SCHEDULING, AND MANAGING CLINICAL NEEDS AS THEY ARISE FOR CLIENTS RECEIVING SERVICES AT CALDER CENTRE.  THE CLINICAL SUPERVISOR IS A COMPETENT CLINICAL PRACTITIONER AND AS A SKILLED EMPLOYEE, THEY PURSUE A SYSTEMATIC APPROACH TO ALL OF THE AREAS THAT HE/SHE ARE INVOLVED WITH AND ADHERES TO THE CURRENT PROVINCIAL CLINICAL ADDICTION MODEL FOR PRACTICE AND SASKATOON HEALTH REGION PHILOSOPHY, OBJECTIVES AND STANDARDS.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Chemical Dependency studies or another Bachelor Degree acceptable to the employer
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Knowledge of the Addictions specific Twelve Core Functions
Advanced assessment skills
Advanced counseling skills
Advanced leadership skills
Advanced research skills
Knowledge of the health region and community resources
Presentation skills
Supervisory skills
Other Information

Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement.  HSAS seniority within the Saskatchewan Health Authority will be considered under the Selection Criteria.

Expected Start Date: November 3, 2020
Expected Up To Date: November 1, 2021
FTE: 1.00

Hours of Work: Shift Information: Days
299.00 hours per 8 week rotation
