INNOVATION PLACE is recruiting for an Operating Engineer who can work independently while performing a wide range of duties in our Energy Centre.

Your variety of responsibilities will include:
- operating and maintaining power boilers, centrifugal chillers and auxiliary equipment;
- installing new and/or modifying existing equipment;
- analyzing water and dispensing chemicals;
- monitoring park-wide building operations including security systems and tenant-specific equipment; and
- maintaining accurate reports and preparing regular maintenance reports.

Your efforts will contribute to a safe, comfortable and reliable environment allowing our tenants to be successful in all they do.

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU

- 4th Class Power Engineering Certification
- Refrigeration Engineers Certification
- dedication to safety
- a broad mechanical aptitude; would be an asset to have skills and abilities in plumbing, electrical, pipefitting, and mechanics
- proficiency with Microsoft products and computerized building management systems
- self-motivated with good interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively prioritize and manage projects
- availability to work 12-hour shifts including days, evening, weekends and stat holidays
