Description

Doepker Industries Ltd. is a leading manufacturer of highway semi-trailers in western Canada.  The company is continually developing new and innovative designs for our customers from coast to coast.  Doepker Industries has won awards and been recognized for business excellence and innovation since the company started in 1948.  

We are currently recruiting for a Production Coordinator to work in our Saskatoon manufacturing plant.  This position assists with the supervision, training and utilization of production employees.  It ensures all products are manufactured in safe and productive manners that meet our quality expectations.

Key accountabilities include:
Supervising the quality production and timely delivery of trailers;
Following the company's Quality Management System processes and participating in LEAN process improvement initiatives;
Updating and developing departmental policies, procedures and performance indicators;
Maintain existing infrastructure and identify new equipment/facility requirements.

Required Qualifications:
Technical degree and/or demonstrated related equivalent experience in a steel manufacturing environment;
Five years supervisory experience in a business environment is required, with experience in the manufacturing sector a definite asset;
Minimum Grade 12
Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Training and/or experience in LEAN methodology is an asset;

Note:  This position is subject to working a rotating or overlapping shift schedule.
