Responsibilities:
-Prepare Training materials such as course manuals and outlines, reference material and other training aids
-Provide theory and practical safety training programs including: Lock Out/Tag Out, Confined Space Entry, Fall Protection, GHS/WHIMIS, Portable Fire Extinguisher use, First Aid, and Site Safety Orientation to mine site personnel
-Provide theory and practical training on Power Mobile Equipment (PME) including: Forklift, Skid Steer, Boom Lift, Scissor Lift and Bucket Truck
-Provide theory and practical Overhead Traveling Crane
-Maintain training records, database, schedule, and the training SharePoint website
-May be required to deliver training on light to medium duty equipment including: Grader, Loader, Back Hoe, Vacuum truck, tandem axle vehicles, and buses
-Other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
-Certificate in Adult Education or equivalent in experience
-Certification in the operation of PME (Train the Trainer certification preferred)
-Five or more years training experience in safety related training programs
-Proficient MS Office computer skills such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and data bases
-Medium to heavy equipment operator training experience is an asset
-Strong communication skills both written and oral
-Ability to develop effective working relationships with peers and co-workers
-Excellent organizational and time management skills including scheduling and delivering training as well as accurate training records and training database maintenance
Work Location & Schedule:
-McClean Lake site
-14 days in and 14 days out rotating schedule
-Normally an 11 hour work day, although some activity outside or normal working hours may be required
