Description

Eagles Nest is a non-profit organization dedicated to working with vulnerable youth in group home environments.  

We are seeking a full-time Human Resources Administrator.  The position is located in Prince Albert but, for a highly driven, self-motivated individual, there's the opportunity to WORK FROM HOME part-most of the time, at least during the pandemic.  The position is also temporary until approx June 2021, but may become PERMANENT.

DAYS OF WORK: Monday-Friday, 9-5

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Claims management -
    Provide advice re disability & WCB claims and COVID-19-related leaves
    Manage all aspects of claims & leaves, incl:
        Maintain regular contact with the employee,
        Complete, submit and file  paperwork,
        Collect medical updates,
        Track potential return to work dates,
        Liaise with managers regarding returning employees' accommodation needs and schedules,
        Liaise between managers and accounting to ensure hours are reported to accounting and earnings reported to disability/WCB

Policy work -  
    Assist employees and managers by explaining policies, procedures, and legislation,
    Identify policy or procedural gaps and needs,
    Research legislation and best practices in order to update existing or create new policies/procedures,
    Create draft copies of new/revised policies.
  
COMPETENCIES:
    Exceptional resourcefulness and ability to hit the ground running
    Self-starter, exceptional initiative
    Excellent organizational skills, & attention to detail  

QUALIFICATIONS:
    Degree/diploma/certificate in Human Resources and/or significant previous experience supporting a Human Resources Department
    Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet & office equipment
    Strong accurate keyboarding skills
    Excellent communication skills
    Familiarity with First Nations culture is an asset
    Criminal Record Check is required
