West-Can HR Solutions is currently seeking a Precision Agronomy and Research Assistant (Summer Student) for Sure Growth Solutions
Are you looking for an exciting summer position in the Agriculture industry? This is your chance to get involved in the rural Saskatchewan agriculture business. Sure Growth Solutions is a progressive, highly regarded agronomy organization that is utilizing cutting-edge technology to propel their clients farming businesses into the future of agriculture. This position will be based on the Aberhart Farm, near Langenburg, Saskatchewan.
ABOUT THE POSITION:
The Precision Agronomy and Research Assistant will act as a support to Sure Growth Solutions and their clients, including Aberhart Farms. The duties of this position will include crop scouting, tissue testing, general research project support, data collection, input and organization, working in a variety of software/precision programs and any other tasks as assigned.
YOUR EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Currently enrolled in a degree or diploma program related to Agriculture and returning to the program in September 2021
Experience working in agriculture and/or on a farm
Must have agronomic knowledge, gained from education or experience
Experience with research, data collection and data entry
Proficient with computers and technology
Willingness and ability to learn new technology and computer programs
