ENGINEERING MANAGER

*The potential candidate must be willing to relocate permanently to Saskatoon, SK.

Job Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for planning, organizing, leading and delivering on electrical engineering projects for Shermco clients in a cost effective, safe and timely manner
- Apply well-developed skills and abilities in project planning, client service delivery, technical knowledge, problem solving, financial stewardship, and leadership throughout all aspects of work
- Develop, implement and adhere to an annual business plan and budget, as well as review month-end financial statements to identify variances from budget to actual numbers
- Directly contribute towards the sales and marketing efforts of the company through up-selling and seeking out new opportunities to further develop the business and increase market share
- Lead as well as mentor a team of new and experienced engineers and technical personnel
- Coordinate, support and assist, as required with all other departments within Shermco on various projects
- Be able to manage projects through various stages of execution, from proposal to completion

Qualifications:
- P. Eng. / Electrical Engineer in the province of Saskatchewan
- Minimum 10 years of experience as an electrical engineer with extensive technical experience in: Electrical distribution design; Energy industry business sectors (O&G, Mining, Pulp Paper, Utility etc.)
- Minimum 3 to 5 years management experience or experience in the following: Understanding of finance/managing a budget (revenue, margin, op ex, EBITDA); Employee management/relations; Client management/relations, demonstrated sales experience; Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to schedule resources to achieve client deliverables
- Must possess a valid driver's license and clean abstract as fieldwork will be a requirement of this position
- Canadian passport is required as some travel is necessary
