SGI's Communications department in Regina is looking for intuitive, strategic and creative problem solvers to join our team. We are hiring one (1) Communications Officer (for a one-year term) and one (1) Communications Consultant (for a one-year term).

The Communications Officer is a unionized position, performing specialized work which includes researching, writing and editing content in a variety of mediums. The position participates in all phases of projects, including working directly with a variety of departments within the company, as well as external stakeholders to develop engaging written content for a variety of audiences.

The Communications Consultant is a non-unionized position, participating in the planning, development and implementation of corporate communication strategies and tactics for internal and external stakeholders. In the role, you would coordinate and provide writing services for applicable audiences, assist with issues management and crisis communications, and represent the Communications department on several corporate committees that develop corporate policies and operational initiatives

Requirements

We are looking for candidates who have a bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, or a related discipline. We are looking for people who can write well across a variety of mediums and have done so professionally. Candidates interested in the Communications Consultant position are expected to have at least three years' experience working in a communications position. Alternative combinations of relevant education and experience may be considered.
