DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Director of Health, Wellness Program Coordinator (WPC) will primarily be responsible to collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary team to plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate care and support of the community members. This role will also oversee program management to ensure effective planning and timely completion of deliverables. Programs include Building Healthy Communities; Brighter Futures, NAYSPS; NNADAP; mental health and counseling programs; and crisis response and management. The WPC will work with Elders and traditional knowledge keepers and in partnership with provincial agencies.

DUTIES
    Utilize leadership, team building, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills to build community partnerships.
    Oversee program management to ensure effective milestone planning and timely completion of deliverables.
    Monitors and evaluates programs and services for compliance and quality of care, make recommendations for improvement based on best practices and cultural relevance.
    Prepare and present proposals relating to departmental budgets, resource allocation, and work processes.
    Ensure commitment to quality, client safety, and risk management initiatives are consistent with approval processes.

QUALIFICATIONS
    Degree in Health, Social sciences, Indigenous studies.
    Supervisory or management experience an asset.
    Registration or licenses appropriate to the position.
    Ability to deal pleasantly and effectively with First Nations, people of different ages and cultures, in potentially volatile and emotionally charged situations.
    The ability to speak/understand the language(s) of the community is an asset.
    Current Criminal Record Clearance, Vulnerable Sector Screening.
