DESCRIPTION
Reports to HCC RN of Home and Community Care. This position will be expected to respect and protect the rights of First Nation citizens, including but not limited to their right to independence, autonomy, and self-determination. We are seeking a Home support worker who is committed, empathetic, and passionate about supporting members to reach their full potential.
     Will provide homemaking services according to a care plan.
DUTIES
    Perform routine housekeeping duties such as laundry, washing dishes, and organizing member's spaces.
    Plan, prepare and cook meals.
    general household management.
    Basic personal care.
    Perform health-related duties such as changing non-sterile dressings, administering medications.
QUALIFICATIONS
    Secondary and/or vocational school diploma/certificate.
    Experience in-home care work setting.
    Experience in working with the elderly and working with First Nations.
    Knowledge/experience in cooking an asset.
    Good written and verbal communication skills.
    Ability to prioritize competing needs.
    Ability to demonstrate skills and attributes listed.
    The ability to speak/understand the language(s) of the community is an asset.
    Current Criminal Record Clearance, Vulnerable Sector check.
