This assignment is a 7 month temporary part-time job share arrangement (0.5 FTE) working 5.5 hours on student days and 5.0 hours on non-student days. These days are in accordance with the 2020-2021 Administrative Assistant and Library Technician school calendar. The dual position commences December 1, 2020 and expires on June 30, 2021. The work schedule will be determined at the start of the school year.
The duties of an Admin Assistant: Greet parents and other visitors in a kind manner. Receive and forward inquiries to the appropriate staff member. Effectively create, manipulate, and utilize spreadsheets, word documents and file management. Operate the public address system and other office equipment. Work collaboratively with, and under the direction of, the school administration and with other school personnel on a daily basis. Maintain a positive attitude toward others, their work, school and the division. Maintain strict confidentiality of all information pertaining to the school. Library Tech: Provide library services to students and staff. Operate and maintain the library system to circulate library materials, generate reports and complete inventory checks. Catalogue all library resources. Organize, maintain and update all materials in the library collection.
The successful candidate will be paid at an hourly AA rate from $17.87-$23.08 and LT rate from $17.67-$23.04 plus applicable vacation pay.
