THE POSITION:
Innovation Credit Union is currently seeking a highly motivated professional to join our team. Reporting to the Manager of Facilities, this position is responsible for the facilities planning, construction and maintenance of our North Region properties. Applicants must be able to oversee and perform minor construction projects as well as travel between branches as required. Additional responsibilities will include:
- Coordinate all activities related to occupancy, insurance, construction, relocation and renovation of buildings, parking lots, offices and equipment including cost estimates, negotiations with landlords, developers and contractors. Research prices and tender business for building supplies and equipment.
- Review, revise and monitor the long-term maintenance plan for facilities, equipment, parking lots and grounds.
- Participate in the design and implementation activities for new and existing facilities
- Ensure the proper upkeep and maintenance of all buildings, vehicles and equipment ensuring safety and security of staff and members
- Monitor and maintain facilities electrical, heating and plumbing systems
- Deal with issues affecting workplace health and safety such as smoking, environmental regulations, toxic substances, ergonomics, comfort, accessibility, lighting, air quality, humidity, energy conservation and readiness in case of fire
