Working closely with the Payroll Clerk, the Trip Settlement Clerk is responsible for reviewing & auditing driver trips to ensure driver miles and pay is accurate. Additionally, the role will provide payroll and other administrative support as required. This position requires a high level of attention to detail and a high level of confidentiality.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
Reviews & audits driver trip information and reconciles the information with applicable driver pay packages and information
Ensures all reconciled driver trip information is entered accurately and in a timely manner into the appropriate data management system
Provides administrative support to the payroll department, including:
Assisting with finalizing driver statements
Generating and printing payroll checks for drivers as required
Assisting with ensuring advances, benefit deductions, vacation payouts, etc. are processed
Checking all payroll entries for accuracy
Providing support to drivers on trip and/or payroll questions
Other miscellaneous payroll support as required
Communicates with key stakeholders (i.e. drivers, payroll department, senior management, etc.) in a timely and efficient manner
Provides administrative support to the accounting and other departments as required
Other duties as assigned
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Related post-secondary training is preferred
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience with data entry and/or auditing
Strong communication skills are required.
Able to work well under pressure and deadlines
Ability to work with various data management and operating systems
High attention to detail to ensure accuracy
High level of personal integrity and ethical standards
High level of confidentiality
Ability to create and modify word-processed documents using Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel
Ability to read and understand specialized material
Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
