Description

Ability to Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of the truck
drivers.
Supervises and coordinates workers engaged in loading and transporting
shipments.
Tracks, traces, and updates the status of shipments
Determine daily coupons, ensure pricing is correct. Work on store display.
Maintain inventory and ensure items are in stock.
May plan transportation route by consulting road and city maps to ensure
clearance and load limits of roads, bridges and overhead obstructions
Handle customer questions, complaints and issues.
You must monitor the transportation budget to ensure funds are properly
utilized and implement organizational objectives as dictated by
management.
You will manage databases that detail transport activities, financial
accountings, employee schedules and personnel records. Management also
relies on you for hiring and firing recommendations, training staff in
department policies and procedures, and sharing information about new
laws or technological advances
Collaborates and communicates with logistics technicians, customer service
representatives, quality personnel, and others involved in the shipment and
receipt of products about information related to the shipment.
Utilize computers to record sales figures, for data analysis and forward
planning
Establish methods to meet work schedules
Train staff in job duties and sanitation and safety procedures
Compiles carrier and route assignments.
Ensure that store is clean, stocked up properly and ready for customers.
Preparation of weekly staff scheduling.
Provides additional backup support for shipping and receiving departments
May perform some truck driver duties as assigned.
