The Saskatchewan Research Councils (SRC) Rare Earth Element Division has an immediate opening for a Project Manager to effectively lead Rare Earth Element (REE) projects to successful completion. SRC employs world-class REE experts and is a leader in the development of processing technologies. We work closely with mining companies in across Canada and globally on the concentration of REE ore.
Accountabilities
Plan, organize, direct and control the activities of one or more project teams
Manage project costs, subcontracts, budgets, labour and resource requirements, and risk and client expectations
Lead your team in effectively determining capital project requirements, translating requirements into operational plans and executing those plans
Measure key project criteria using established metrics and develop new metrics, as required
Formulate contingency plans to address schedule revisions, labour adjustments, funding allocation and work requirements
Communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders, including regulators, sub-contractors and clients
Conduct business development to ensure SRCs expertise is showcased to clients
Qualifications
Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) preferably in a mechanical or process engineering discipline
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Minimum of 10 years experience in managing capital projects
Extensive experience in the mining industry, especially related to all aspects of mineral processing
Experience managing multi-year, multimillion-dollar projects from proposal initiation through to final project completion and client acceptance
Experience leading diverse project teams to work effectively and efficiently, delivering exceptional results
Experience working with regulatory agencies at the local, provincial and national level
