JOB SUMMARY:    

Reporting directly to the Eagle Women Tribunal (EWT) Chairperson, the Tribunal Office Administrator is responsible for establishing and maintaining the overall tribunal office administrations, policies and procedures. This position will provide support and guidance to all disputes submitted for review by the EWT Board to ensure compliance with all Cowessess First Nation, Federal and other related entities Policies, Acts, Legislation and Bylaws. The Tribunal Office Administrator will maintain a high level of professionalism, possess strong communication and public relations skills and be self-motivated. This individual must be knowledgeable in both Federal and Provincial laws. Preference will be given to qualified Cowessess Citizens and Indigenous candidates who self-identify and provide proof upon request. The primary location of work will be on Cowessess First Nation.

QUALIFICATIONS:        

- Post-Secondary education in Law / Human Justice is preferred
- 5 years experience in progressive leadership roles with research, planning, developing and delivering reports / presentations for tribunals or board of governors
- Experience with instructing and educating on matters of law and associated principles is an asset
- Excellent communication and public relations skills
- Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office    
- Demonstrated ability to build business relationships, resolve conflicts, negotiate, mediate, facilitate and deliver information to a wide variety of audiences
- Ability to build trust and credibility in a politically sensitive role with competing demands and priorities
- Demonstrated ability to manage financial, human and physical resources
- Demonstrated ability to effectively research, analyze and effectively respond to emerging opportunities and risks
- Willing to submit Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check
