The Palliser Plains Co-op Association Ltd. invites applications for the permanent full-time position of Ag Clerk to join our Agro Team out of our Shamrock location.
Reporting to the Crop Protection Manager, the Ag Clerk will be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep and operation of the ag facilities at our Shamrock location. This includes loading, unloading and storing ag products, inventory management, ag product deliveries, operating and maintaining a variety of equipment, providing administrative assistance to the Crop Protection Manager, providing superior customer service, and other duties as assigned.
Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
Background or experience in the Agriculture industry preferred
Ability to operate various tools, equipment, and machinery in a responsible and safe manner
Ability to use a computer for basic programs and operating a POS terminal
Experience providing excellent customer service
Experience working with/on a multigenerational team
Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Regular and repetitive heavy lifting and moving is required (50lbs+)
Ability to work long hours in the busy season and available when needed
Valid class 5 drivers license is required, G endorsement would be an asset
