Palliser Plains Co-op Association Ltd. is a friendly retail located in the south-central region of Saskatchewan servicing the communities of Central Butte, Craik, Shamrock, Tugaske and surrounding area.
Reporting to the Central Butte Home Centre Manager, the Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting with the overall management, leadership, and operation of the Home Centre. This position works closely with the Home Centre Manager to ensure the financial success of the location and that Team Members are following recommended programs, guidelines, policies, and procedures while respecting safety and asset protection standards and promoting high quality guest satisfaction.
Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
3-5 years of experience in management in a retail environment, including supervisory experience
Tronia Point of Sale knowledge preferred
Retail experience in the areas of marketing, member relations, selling, OHS, ordering, receiving, and asset maintenance and management is required
A clear and solid understanding of personnel policies, practices, and procedures and other operational issues faced by the organization
Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
High level of integrity and accountability
Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills
A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills
Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays where necessary
The successful candidate must demonstrate effective team leadership skills and the ability to work well within multi-generational teams. They must also possess a positive, ambitious attitude, with excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal talents.
