INNOVATION PLACE is recruiting for an Architectural Technologist on a 14-month term to lead the development and coordination of construction drawing packages in a variety of commercial workspace improvement projects.

Under the direction of the Project Managers you will be preparing and managing architectural and interior design drawings from schematic design through to construction administration and as-built documentation.  This could include floor plans, elevations, building sections, wall and millwork details and other required information.

You will also coordinate mechanical, electrical and structural drawings, acting as a main contact with consultants for any drawing coordination.

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU
- Architectural Technology Diploma (concentration in Interior Design is preferred) from a recognized technical program and eligible for Professional Designation as an Applied Science Technologist
- 3 - 5 years of experience leading the development of contract document packages including full working drawings and project specifications
- advanced proficiency with AutoCAD, as well as experience with Excel and Adobe Acrobat Pro; experience with Revit is an asset
- experience in building code analysis, with advanced knowledge of NBC 2015, NFC 2015, local bylaws, and space requirements
- strong understanding of building systems including HVAC, electrical and building monitoring
- ability to meet deadlines under pressure and achieve high output while working independently on multiple projects and priorities
- flexibility and teamwork skills to respond to the needs of a wide variety of stakeholders
