Description

We are searching for the next person to assist with our agencys communication. This is a part-time, 18-month term position. In your cover letter please outline:
              -community experience,
              -qualifications and experience in communication
              -experience in the non-profit sector
              -possible start date,
              -and salary expectations.

The Communications Coordinator develops and implements all external and internal communication initiatives. As well, this role develops yearly benchmarks, monitors, and reports on progress. They play a key role in high-level strategic planning offering guidance, support to READ Saskatoon's leadership team.

1. Website
-Manage READ Saskatoons website and its content.
-Monitor the effectiveness of the site using analytic software and make changes as required.
-Research and develop relevant blog and website content
2. Social Media
-Write e-newsletter, select photos, layout, and send current updates.
-Write social media posts on multiple platforms, select photos, and reply to comments as needed
-Strengthen READ Saskatoons social media impact. Provide status updates on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram and drive traffic to the website and blog
3. Video
-Create video content (sometimes in partnership with a marketing company) that communicates the importance of volunteering, attracts learners, builds awareness of literacy issues, and promotes READ Saskatoons role within our community.
