This is a full time position where you will provide support to 4 individuals in their home and community and lead a team of Direct Support Professionals as they provide person directed supports to the 4 people in their home and community.
Your key Responsibilities Include:
Orientation, Training, Supervision and Leadership to a team of Direct Support Professionals.
Providing direct care, providing leadership on developing programs and ensuring successful implementation of supports in all areas to ensure that each person lives a meaningful fulfilled life.
Ensure supports provided follow best practices.
Administrative duties including scheduling, financial record keeping, maintaining high standard of documentation for residence and the home.
Maintaining the care of the residents home and vehicle.
Coordinating and attending medical appointments, organizing training as needed for medical supports required.
Working in a team with the Executive Director, other employees of the home, families, medical professionals, etc.
Successful Candidates will have:
Minimum of Disability Support Worker Certificate, or similar equivalent training and experience.
At least 3 years of experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities.
Minimum 1 year experience working in a leadership role.
Knowledge of Human Services and Saskatchewan Employment Act.
Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
This is a full time position which requires flexibility for shift work including days, evening, nights, holidays and weekends. On call requirements.
