Description

Saskatchewan Polytechnic is seeking a computer science/information technology professional for a full-time, ongoing Instructor position in our Microsoft Cloud Computing and Applications Training Program. Instructors are responsible for:
1. Instructing material for use with common cloud computing platforms, software, and applications (Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.). This includes, but is not limited, to delivery of official material preparing students to write IT and technology certifications affiliated with major cloud computing and IT technology providers (See Notes for more details on immediate needs) .
2. Maintenance of technical knowledge and relevant Certifications for common cloud computing platforms, technologies, and role specializations.
3. Development of curriculum and training materials in accordance with leading industry standards.
4. Instruction of theoretical material on-campus, online or by distance (print or video).
5. Classroom/lab preparation and instruction of practical learning outcomes.
6. Evaluation of students.
7. Administration duties including but not limited to meetings, student counseling, program inventories, etc.
8. Supervision, participation and/or evaluation of students in a practicum/work integrated learning setting.

Qualifications for the position:
1. Related Masters Degree with major in Computer Science, OR Masters of Business Administration with an undergraduate in Computer Sciences or related.
2. Recent/relevant experience (2 years in the last 5) in the computer science/information technology field or an Information Technology Certified Professional (ITCP), or two years recent/relevant post-secondary instructional experience.
